I have been talking about this for a very long time. I really want this adult tricycle! Now this would be really cool if chad and i lived in a city, not a suburb of a city of a city of a city, like all of southern california. But hey, i needa start exercising everyday and i thought if i had something fun maybe i would actually do it. Lets be honest, i have NEVER been one to exercise everyday, or even on a schedule of every other day, but you know i NEED to do it. Not just for myself (cause honestly i dont look thhhaaat bad, i mean i have a little more junk in the trunk, and a small floatish inner tube on my tummy) but i need to do it for my vye! I want her to grow up with a mommy that exercises cause it is good for you! And it is important! And if there is one thing that i have learned is that living by example is far more influential. WALK THE WALK and shut your mouth (sometimes)

So i promise to do better at this blog thing. once a week from here on out. but now i must catch up!

well the big thing in may was vye's birthday! she turned 1! my whole family was there and some friends from high school that i hadn't seen in a long time! it turned out really well, despite the major heat wave of 99 degrees! big success for me: i made her birthday cake. 2 layer red velvet cake with a smashing cream filling, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries oh my!

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gilman

Another amazing wedding this summer! Now technically they were married on the 31st of may, but i don't have anything for june and i wanted this blog sequence to flow. They wedded in the San Diego Temple and then had an awesome ring ceremony in Coranado. The BEST ring ceremony i have ever been to. (Really wish i had done one :( maybe chad will marry me again) Everything went really well. except for the food posioning...dundundun.

Well the big thing we did was go to hawaii to meet up with the hokamas. it was awesome! i met ALL of chad's extended family for the first time and they all met the Vye Vye for the first time! she was of course the hit of the trip for everyone! we stayed on oahu for 10 days in a totally awesome beach house. straight out of the 1960's on the north shore. We reunioned, we weddinged, we beached, we ate, we bon fired, and we enjoyed!

So just yesterday i was complaining to chad that i have no more creative juices left in me and i am a sad sad girl. after he reassured me i did i felt better.

but then you see i woke up and felt that same way again!

so after the baby girl went down i went to the computer to design something to get me out of the rut (chad's at work) and i stumble across alison's blog were she had announced that only 12 people have her name! so i thought i would try it!

She 's a Monkey!

We almost have a 1 year old on our hands! For the longest time, like since womb, i wanted to have a fun 1st birthday with the theme of monkey's! this is mostly because martha stewart has an already made party box at Michael's with really cute monkey items that i know i could elaborate on very easily. well the chad did not like this theme, well in fact he wanted no theme...BORING. he realized that he just thought that monkey's wasn't "Cool" and he would want a theme if is was cool....his idea ROBOTS. This is a baby girl, even though she is more of a goy as far as chad is concerned. The theme i have chosen is fabulous and will be unveiled after her party in another week!

So back to the monkey topic. well seeing that this has become a very appropriate topic for the little vye vye i should have not listened to the chad. does she walk, no, but she sure acts like she does! she climbs up the couch and tries to OVER the couch, she climbs into she stroller and stands up (very scary). she climbs out of any belt restraint you put around her in a shopping cart or high chair. she will climb into anything, under anything she can get between, but our favorite is the oven. my mother has a double decker oven, and yes the vye loves this little place where she can show just how strong women can be.

alison's and eric's wedding was amazing! i mean i love loved my wedding but this wedding has just tied for first place in the best weddings ever book! (hey that should be a show on TLC.) There was no detail missed, no dance move un-choreographed, no button undone! it was amazing! and what was even more amazing was the reminder to chad and me that yes indeed we still did have friends!

Whenever we sing or put on music Vye just looks up at us and starts bouncing her head and then she just gets her whole body going! It's her new trick. Hopefully she'll be a musician so Chad can start the daddy daughter band he's always wanted! The Name...VINYL

welcome to my personal blog. i just got sick of chad writing every other month and never writing anything that wasn't cynical. so i guess you can visit me anytime you want... which would be nice since most all my friends live far far away. oh how i miss sweet provo where we all lived down the street from each other.

oh yeah i am going back to provo in a month! bombay house here i come!
